Incoming students in the Masters of Engineering Management & Leadership program gathered for Fall 2025 orientation, kicking off the semester with introductions, program overview sessions, and an opportunity to connect with peers, faculty, and staff at Rice University.

Students, faculty, and staff gathered at Hungry’s in Rice Village to celebrate the conclusion of the spring semester. The evening offered a relaxed setting to enjoy good food, reflect on the semester’s accomplishments, and connect with one another before the break.

To close out the academic year, faculty and students from Rice University’s Master’s in Engineering programs came together to celebrate milestones, reflect on shared accomplishments, and express gratitude. The event featured lively conversations, student presentations, and moments of connection across disciplines. A fitting send-off to a year defined by collaboration, growth, and community.

Students in the Masters of Engineering Management & Leadership program participated in a 3D printing workshop, learning how ideas move from digital design to physical prototypes through hands-on experimentation.

The Beyond the Tech Seminar invited students to explore the skills and perspectives that complement technical expertise, highlighting leadership, communication, and real-world application beyond the classroom.

Students explored how generative AI is transforming business and leadership, examining real-world applications, strategy, and the role of emerging technologies in modern organizations.

MEML alumni returned to campus to share insights on navigating today’s job market, offering students practical advice on career paths, hiring trends, and strategies for professional growth.

A guest speaker joined students to discuss the ethical design of intelligent systems, examining responsibility, bias, and the societal impact of emerging technologies in engineering practice.
